SAY HELLO TO THIS MONTH’S
Guest ARTISTS
John Garvey // Creative Follies was born of the belief that the world can always use more levity, and that we too often feel the need to justify things in practical terms. If something brings you joy, solace, or more meaningful relationships, it is self-justifying. To Hell with its practical value. Art always has been, and always will be, a cornerstone of my sanity. But like most people with a creative drive, I've let it lie fallow at different stages in my life. Most of my best ideas have been stolen ... from my kids. Or in some way inspired by them. One day if I am successful perhaps they'll sue me. In the meantime, I feel privileged to be able to share my art, humor, and ideas with you. Whether you feel an artistic or intellectual kinship with me, or you simply get a laugh out of T-Rexes riding unicycles, thanks for dropping in.
Dean Sangalis // My name's Dean. Prior to mastering the rudiments of the written word, I would thrust a yellow legal pad and pen into the hands of any willing adult. When I saw they were prepared, I would orate my story and they would record it, leaving spaces for drawings. My first book, a spin-off, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle side-story, was, alas, never published. The rights could not be secured and the drawings were far too violent. I am, however, a winner of the Young Authors Award, finally securing the title in the 8th grade. I could not abide another loss, so I shifted my strategy from weighty tome to a tight story ark, told in eight pages. It is not until the end that you discover these relatable characters—who so narrowly escape such treacherous fates—are in fact goldfish. If you've been to a previous Art Walk, you know that I generally make the mocktails. I also make music and paintings and stories, which I'll be sharing at the upcoming event. Come out, say hello, talk to me about the mysteries of the universe.
Hannah Anderson // I am a Colorado artist, graduated from CSU in 2019 with a BFA in graphic design. My digital illustration style is bold, bright, and sometimes a little silly and funny. I draw inspiration from food, animals, and pop culture such as cartoons and anime.
Kate Galloway // I am a local medical, scientific illustrator and fine artist trained at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I’m deeply moved by the beauty I see in nature and how those patterns repeat inside the human body. I use the unpredictable, organic qualities of watercolor to mimic the varied shapes, patterns, and colors I observe in nature and give life to my work.
Lucas Archuleta // Hey there I'm some dude who can draw stuff. For the most part, ink illustrations are my go-to. Thus far, I've found comfort in a colorless world, focusing heavily on the detail and line work. I’m pretty driven by my emotions when creating a piece most of the time, but I also draw inspiration from stuff that I just think is neat. I hope you’ll give my weird little drawings a gander.
My name is Phary Om. I am a Khmer-American woman and artist. I am an art educator, park ranger, and an active member in the art, outdoor recreation, and Asian community. I'm very passionate about exploring the outdoors and I express that in my artwork. I enjoy teaching art to the community and youth of all ages. I love and enjoy being involved in communities that are inclusive, open-minded, and supportive of ALL people.
Josh Olson // I run a hot dog cart called Duffs Old Town Sausage cart. Duff was my “roommate” for a couple of years while I lived with my friend Garrett. While Duff (old English bulldog) was Garretts dog Duff and I really bonded over time. Anyways the cart is my true passion and yes I do believe a perfectly cooked hot dog/sausage on a golden brown toasted bun is art. No dog is the same and we allow our customers to paint their own dogs with a variety of toppings which makes each one unique. I’ve come to realize how passionate folks are about such things.
Austin Kenneth Lee was born in Texas but raised in South Carolina. He’s spent the last decade writing music while wandering the American west. There and back again, he now resides in Fort Collins, CO. Simple and straightforward, his lyrically driven songs offer gratitude and grief for those loved and lost.
Jesse Schlicker // With a CA Gold Country childhood to develop an early respect for nature, Jesse grew up exploring the abundance of life that surrounded him. There were many forms of art in the Schlicker household but none as ever-present as music. His father’s Les Paul singing through the pine trees, leading Jesse’s adventurous spirit to express itself freely, unabashed. He graduated with honors from SAE Institute in Rotterdam, Netherlands as an Audio Engineer and has performed on stages around the world. He carries this passion, fostered by those that love him, guiding his inner self wherever he goes.
Tony Delivers ( Mason Rogers ) is an ongoing experiment. Derived from an oddly timed joke, it is Mason’s attempt at becoming free in the confines of his own mind. In the wake of capitalist hegemony and total environmental collapse, there’s only so much faith that can be put in structure.
Mister Tim // A nomadic bard for the post-apocalyptic wasteland we currently inhabit, musical storyteller Mister Tim combines organic vocal sounds with cyborg technology to sing tales of modern love, post-modern angst, end-of-the-world dance parties, ghosts that haunt us, and murderous pastries.
chinmusic // Hello world. I'm an artist and musician. I grew up here and I really like making people dance. Similar interests include reading, writing, and encouraging authenticity in every aspect of our day-to-day lives. I also really like movies. SBs.

Goldblush plays melodic driven shoegaze guitar music, with a special touch of jangle pop and modern indie. Goldblush has been Jose's side project while playing in other bands like The Baltic and Slow Caves, but now is turning into his primary musical project.
Max // I am originally from Providence, Rhode Island. I have been doing graffiti since age 14. I got into a lot of trouble when I was younger writing graffiti and just growing up in a city, but in the last ten years as graffiti becomes more mainstream and accepted in society it has led to some pretty amazing opportunities for me. I have been able To produce several murals around the New England area some of which have been graffiti related some not. I feel proud being able to leave my mark in a different way now.
Psychedelic Punx // Hello world! My name is Brooke my artwork I call my Psychedelic Punx. I just recently started to share my art with the world and it has been such a supportive and joyful experience! I combined my love for art with subject matter I enjoy such as music and skateboarding. I love to paint big canvases with vibrant colors. I use a combination of media however mostly work with paint markers and spray paint.
Cosmic Heart Arts by Lauren is a collection of one of a kind, heirloom style, cosmic creations featuring sterling silver and genuine gemstone jewelry. Originally born and raised in the desert of West Texas, Cosmic Heart Arts features pieces with a southwestern, yet modern design. All pieces are slowly hand crafted with intention. Most, if not all, stones are sourced directly from the miners/miner’s families, small family businesses and trusted lapidary artists.
John Butler // My Name is John Butler, I work mostly in the digital media platform. Having a life long interest in the arts with a strong background in computers and software led me to develop a unique style of portraiture over the years. Much of my recent works are inspired by "The Sandman", and Twin Peaks. I try to capture the cosmic essence, higher self or alter-ego of the subjects in my work.
tyboe // tyboe is a fort collins painter/muralist exploring the world of doodles one canvas, electric box, school bus, picnic table or brick wall at a time. (He'll basically paint on anything.) Owing his many doodle-like styles to his influences of cartoons, comic books, street art, and psychedelic concert posters, tyboe marries those influences with his affinity for science, nature, astrophysics and outer space documentaries. Resulting in intricate and imaginative doodles of all sizes, and brought to life with vibrant colors and playful subject matter that are pleasant yet thought provoking for all ages.
Hypnagogist // Hypnagogist is multimedia visionary artist hailing from Columbus, Ohio, specializing in 3D animation, traditional painting, art installations, and mixed media fusions of the aforementioned works. Hypnagogia is the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep, and Hypnagogist's work reflects that with colorful and surreal imagery, pulling from conscious and unconscious states.
Jennifer Carmack @Wild Spirit Colorado // As a yoga teacher and energy healer for over 20 years, my art reflects my conversations with people about trauma, healing, energy systems, and the mind-body connection. Whether I create a portrait or mandala, acrylic or collage, I seek to uncover the underlying layer. Each piece is an exploration of myself, revealing universal experiences. By opening up to what wants to come through the canvas, I connect with the energy of this wild world.
Ryan Stover's vivid watercolors and complex ink drawings celebrate the beauty of nature and the paradox of human experience. Ry's work is overflowing with energy and colors that are wild and free – yet bound and balanced by bold black lines. His work is a visual meditation on holding on and letting go: Going with the flow... while being aware of doing so.
Hannah Brook // Hey, I’m Hannah. I have loved art for as long as I can remember and have experimented with many different mediums. I’m currently pursuing a career as a tattooer. I have enjoyed making pendants out of my extensive crystal collection, making wood burning art pieces, and painting with watercolor and acrylics. Fantasy, sci-fi and nature are a constant inspiration for creating a little world of my own with my art.
Colorado Peach Creations // Hey everyone my name is Mackenna Allard, I'm the owner and creator of Colorado Peach Creations. I was born and raised in Fort Collins but recently moved to a small mountain town. I've been an artist all my life and worked in many creative industries. I started making custom burned felt hats inspired by nature and it took off! I love getting to create wearable art, with a boho western feel.
The_Walkers_Trail716 // My journey on this path started in my second year of high school. An art teacher I had, had the class do a project on Silhouette paintings and I fell in love with the process and overall freedom of painting. From there the sky was the limit. I’ve evolved as an artist and a person and I believe my work will prove that. Getting into jewelry only helped further my passion for the art of creation itself and I’m really excited that I get to share with you all!
Erin Joy Art // My name is Erin and I am a Fort Collins Colorado botanical illustrator, painter, jewelry maker, and small batch screen printer. As an outdoor enthusiast and birder, I am tremendously inspired by the natural world and the magic of its interconnected systems. My art focuses mainly on specific species I am inspired by, as well as the colors, textures, and variety of nature. My favorite part of the artist’s experience is connection, both to the natural world, and to the people who protect and cherish it.
Morgan's Art and Creations // My love for art began at a young age, starting with cartoons and anime styles. In high school, I eagerly explored various art classes, embracing drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, and photography. Now working as a painting instructor at Pinot's Palette, my personal art emphasizes self-love and finding beauty in unexpected places, even in life's darkest or simplest forms. I've cultivated a passion for painting space and galaxies, inviting everyone to enjoy skyward escapes occasionally. Thank you for appreciating a different perspective, and for taking the time to see the world through my eyes. Remember to never stop dreaming and to cherish the beauty that surrounds us.
Fernaflora // Hi there! I'm Jessi, the artist behind Fernaflora. I love music, climbing, and being outside in any way! I'm lucky to have the privilege to create art that encapsulates my love for the outdoors, while also showcasing the simple yet intricate beauty of the natural world. I've always been enamored by preserved flowers and plants, and combined with a fascination of tiny things, my pieces are tiny but mighty wearable reminders of our connection to nature. Each plant is ethically collected and hand-pressed or dried. My journey as a creator feels like it's just beginning, and I'm very excited to see where it takes me!
Joey da Rat // I’m Joey and I draw rats. I started drawing in 2021 and first showed my work in Fort Collins in Summer of 2022. I try to give people a break from the seriousness of the world while still biting back at it with my rats, and with my oil pastels I try to show the beauty in the horror of the 21st century. I’m excited to unleash my goofy monstrosities on the you all! It’ll be fun don’t worry! :)
Chelsea Ermer // Hello. My name is Chelsea Ermer and I am an artist, reader and teacher. My work spans many different mediums from pen and ink, to gouche, to digital and Procreate art. Recently my work has been focused upon creating bookmarks for a variety of books. I also take commissions for pet portraits and bookmarks. I have also been fortunate enough to create murals for the city and you can find several of my Transformer cabinets around town. Overall, I love creating beautiful things in whatever medium I can get my hands on.
Allison Harvey with Pieces of Childhood // I love anything that is unique and makes a statement. I get asked often about where I get my earrings or planters so I decided to give this crafting thing a try and spread the love of creepy fun toys being used in art.
Vica- SoullLines // I explore the essence of the human experience through art, traversing between cosmic and earthly realms. My creations range from moss, fairies, and mushrooms to aliens, UFOs, and cosmic consciousness. With a background in environmental science and holistic living, I'm fascinated by Earth's intricate simplicity and interconnected beauty. I employ pyrography, digital art, paint, and pen on various surfaces, including canvas, terracotta pottery, wood, and clothes. As a self-taught Colorado artist, I'm filled with gratitude for sharing my art with the world and inviting others to dive into this unique perspective. Namaste.
Madison Barnett is a community taught printmaker based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She works primarily in linocut, printing on paper and textiles. With a professional background in Forestry, she finds inspiration in the unique spirit of the ecosystems she visits. Her work is influenced by folk ways, personal synchronicities and reverence for land.
Burning Bonsai Art Studio // Nathan grew up in inner city Denver where his love of creating artwork was nurtured by the microcosm of different cultures that exist there. Because of his exposure and love for so many different artistic styles, he rebelled against the idea that one must stick to just one. In fact, he named his business The Burning Bonsai, because a lot of his work is a blend of both Eastern and Western artistic styles and techniques.
Mila Solo // Mila is a Ukrainian artist over 25 years of experience and now resides in the USA as a war refugee. She narrowly escaped after her studio in Ukraine was destroyed during a military attack losing her life’s work in the process and now resides in Fort Collins, Colorado. She skilfully uses multi-layered techniques to convey both volume and states in abstract painting. The concept of art is to create a multi-dimensional picture. Ambiguous and emotional. Art is the way to express emotions, experiences, awareness and composition on canvas. Each painting contains a deep and multifaceted meaning of philosophy and beauty of the world. This is reflection of our experiences, spiritual development and knowledge of the universe. Each work is unique and has a special message to the viewer.
Somonoce Studio // Bethany Economos is a mixed media artist whose work is often influenced by her surroundings and the world. Her background in Fiber Arts (BFA Tyler School of Art 2001) shows in the hand embroidered stitching and the other surface design techniques. She has moved with her family 14 times in the last 20 years, most recently to Colorado during the first Covid shutdown in 2020. The shutdown (and lack of art supplies) led her to explore the incorporation of upcycled materials and unconventional items into her latest works. This “make do and mend” attitude has positively impacted her life and her work. She continues to explore new materials and techniques with a focus on upcycling.
MTN Goddess Ceramics // MTN Goddess Ceramics is a small, women owned Pottery business created by Madi Nigro. All ceramics in the shop have been hand thrown, carved and glazed by Madi. Growing up in Colorado near the Rocky Mountains, Madi has fond memories of rock climbing, hiking, and exploring nature. Focusing on ceramics that spark joy, self confidence and inner love, each product is handcrafted with care, making no two pieces the same.

Her artwork often depicts the creatures, plants and nuances of the natural world with a mystical twist, communicating a deep reverence for the divine energetic presence of all living things.
Silverthaw Jewelry // Erin Greenberg creates whimsical jewelry pieces out of silver and gemstones. She has a degree in Computer Science and works in software by day and silver by night, using jewelry design as her creative outlet. Erin is a lifelong avid reader and is inspired most by romantic and magical/fantasy themes. She is constantly learning new techniques and dabbling in different styles, though she consistently returns to magical, whimsical motifs. She loves incorporating color and texture into her work and collects gemstones like a dragon. She is originally from Louisiana and now lives in Fort Collins with her two cats, Minnie and Bobo.
DanaPaintsCo. // I fully believe that art is meant to be shared so I started DanaPaintsCo to make it easier to share my work beyond just my immediate circle. So I'm very excited to be part of the local art community here in Fort Collins! I typically work with acrylic paint but will occasionally pick up chalk pastels, charcoal, or another kind of paint and see what happens.
memaaderugs // Hi! My name is Autumn and I am a textile artist. I create hand tufted rugs and knitwear! I love working with fibers and putting my attention to detail into each piece I make. Whether it's a rug or a knit item, I strive to make my creations both practical and beautiful works of art. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my art!
Amy Powell Art // Walking through the woods with my daughters, we don’t make it more than a few feet before one of them stops to admire a rock/leaf/acorn. They admire even the plainest pieces of nature and inspire me with their awed eyes. I create art that expresses the sacred feminine and the beauty of the natural world. I flow between large scale oil paintings and delicate watercolor illustrations and feature portraits, animals, and natural elements such as mushrooms, moths, feathers, and bones.
A_boldartist // I am a self-taught artist who enjoys using all different types of medium. Majority of my paintings are done with oil or acrylic, but I do also enjoy, using my hands with clay or crafting to create unique pieces. Some of the artwork I recently have been focused on is bringing mental health awareness to the forefront since I myself suffer with anxiety, but I also love to incorporate elements of our environment, animals, and silly characters. My friends would say my style of painting is influenced by flash art in the tattoo community.
Kim Nigro // I am a retired school teacher who works in a meditative and natural organic frame that reminds us of the beauty of life. I paint Goddess Artwork to promote the diversity and strength of women all over the world while reusing and reinventing things such as canvas and paint. My paintings include recycled paint and canvas representing the perseverance of women as they struggle to be free. My most often works use motivational words and imagery, sealing the thoughts into the message of the painting in hopes of inspiring those who view the work. I invite you to vie these abstract energy paintings and share how you experience life now and how it may look in the future.
Xavier Pereira // Xavier’s works can be characterized by punchy dabs of paint; they are motivated by personal observations and sentimental experiences shared with others- utilizing concepts that expand upon sensory impressions. Using his art as a form of meditation, he finds peace in letting the world fade away while narrowing focus on the minute details throughout the canvas. Also a mechanical engineer, he lets his experience in creative problem solving take shape in his art. This has allowed for a unique perspective across disciplines, culminating in an intuitive approach that is calculated, yet venturous.
Abstruse Apparel // Retired wood shop teacher from New York and California, I now run Abstruse Apparel in Fort Collins creating digital art messaging and upcycling used clothing. Join my Collaborative Message Challenge every First Friday! Submit a creative message to see turned into apparel or digital art. Selected designs will be on display and the winner can pick up the item for FREE! Visit Funktional: A Space For Radical Reuse on 1228 W. Elizabeth Street to see my work. Let's change the world together, one stitch at a time!
Molly Moonchild // I make weird art for weird people out of my home in Loveland, Colorado. I’m in my mid-thirties and am finally making art that teenage me would be proud of - I’m here and I’m weird and I didn’t sell out to the man.
Paula Harrison // Intentional experimentation is central to my artistic process, allowing for discovery and growth. Painting serves as a spiritual practice, using open-ended images to access non-verbal experiences of awareness and consciousness. This encourages dialogue and personal meaning development. With 20 years of public school art teaching experience, I invite those interested in exploring how art can broaden their world to reach out.
mossy cows // My name is Miriam, and I created Mossy Cows! I have always loved animals and science and adorable things, and since I started working in a rock shop, my art has come to consist of the merging of all my favorite things. I mostly make stickers and a few art prints, and have started branching out into keychains!
On The Road Bookstore // On The Road Bookstore is a traveling bookshop based in Fort Collins, Colorado, offering local book fair events in the Northern Colorado area, online shopping, and audiobooks. My name is Taylor, I am the two hands behind Wild Daisy Jewelry Co. I found metal work as a new hobby never expecting to fall so in love with creating. It still feels weird to call myself an artist, but it has been so refreshing to open my heart to the creative process. Each piece is crafted to honor all of the little elements that make it whole, and each collection created to tell a story. Influenced by the world around us and anything a little bit funky, my hope is that my work speaks to you and accompanies you wherever your road may lead!
All Artistic Trades // From a young age, art became my sanctuary, easing stress and anxiety. My creative family, especially my great-grandmother, introduced me to various art techniques and mediums. Fond memories of watching Bob Ross with her ignited my passion. In high school, I attended an arts-specialized institution, where inspiring teachers guided me in channeling emotions into my work. Drawn to the expressive female form, I've amassed 30+ years of experience, earning multiple honors awards and two publications across diverse artistic mediums.
