My name is Macey Boren, and I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Northern Colorado. My approach to art is marked by the use of drawing, painting, metalsmithing, sculpture, installation, and digital fabrication as my primary mediums. The nexus of surrealist imagery and socio psychological turmoil are investigated throughout my body of work. In addition to utilizing art as a means of self expression, I also use my work to address social issues, such as mental health stigmas, misogyny in visual culture, and the marginalization of the LGBTQ+ community. As an artist, I strive to share my work with the public by crafting small handmade items for individuals, completing murals, and exhibiting my art locally.
