Hello Artist, we are so excited you are here! Please use this form to complete your submission for consideration for the Living Mural call to Artists.

This form must be completed no later than one week before the First Friday event in which you are attending. The sooner it is complete, the more time we have to show the world how awesome you are!

Submission Guidelines:

To be considered for this opportunity, please submit the following:

  1. A Letter of Intent stating your interest*

  2. A brief Artist statement introducing yourself and your Artistic journey. (approx. 150-200 words)

  3. Examples of your previous Artwork (digital portfolio or website link)*

  4. Art Resume

  5. Concept Art

Submission Deadline and Scheduling:

  • April 27 - Submission Due

  • April 29 - Final Selection

  • May 1 - Art Night | “Passing of the Paintbrush” Ceremony w/ Previous Muralist Xavier Pereira

  • May 3 - Start of Mural process for First Friday

  • September 1-5 - Mural passed onto next Artist and primed

  • September 6 - Start of next mural.

  • The LOI outlines your vision, the conceptual framework for the mural, and possibly, preliminary details about the project's scope, and your approach to the work.

  • An Artist statement is a personal declaration that accompanies and explains an Artist's work. It's a written reflection that provides insight into the conceptual framework, motivations, and intentions behind the Artist's creative process.

  • A selection of youA rtworks that the you have created in the past, showcasing your skills, style, and thematic concerns as an Artist. These examples are crucial for evaluators, panelists, or potential approvals to assess the Artist's capabilities, Artistic evolution, and suitability for specific opportunities for this project.

  • An Art resume is a document that an Artist uses to showcase their background, skills, and accomplishments in the Arts. Typically this document emphasizes Artistic achievements and is tailored for galleries, Art councils, residency programs, grants, or other opportunities specifically related to the Arts.

  • Concept Art will be the visual representation used to convey your vision and ideas for the mural before the actual painting begins. This will be used to finalize any approvals needed from all stakeholders.
