SAY HELLO TO THIS MONTH’S
Guest ARTISTS
John Patrick Flood // John is a native New Yorker who has worked and lived in such diverse places as Saudi Arabia, Ireland, and the Sultanate of Oman while teaching Special Education, English as a Second Language, and Life Purpose coaching. He currently resides and works at Sunrise Ranch Conference and Retreat Center in Loveland, Colorado as the Program Manager for Donor and Member Relations and as an attunement teacher and practitioner. John has Master's degrees in Special Education and in Nonprofit Management. "My passion is to use my attunement, life purpose coaching, and photography skills to deeply know and connect the pioneering expansiveness of my Spirit with all." His photography has been exhibited at Al Madina Art Gallery, Bait Muzna Gallery, and Muscat International Airport in Oman and some of it graces homes and businesses throughout the USA, Europe, and the Middle East.
Renee the Baker // I'm a local, Fort Collins baker specializing in seasonal pies! In addition to vending at the Larimer County Farmers Market and Timnath Farmers' Market, I accept special orders and run a monthly pie subscription. I am increasingly focused on using the local food chain for as many of my raw ingredients as possible and developing my business in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Stardust Stylist // Carissa Schlam is a freelance hair and makeup artist under the name of "The Stardust Stylist." She specializes in vintage hair styling techniques and creative makeup, as well as Glitterlites, proving Carissa is anything but basic. Being in the industry for eight years, Carissa has worked her magic for weddings, boudoir, creative shoots, and more. She loves baking, adventuring with her tiny human, and playing D&D. Whether you're seeking a full glam look or just adding a bit of sparkle to your daily, Carissa is your magical babe.
Hannah Miner // Hannah, a Fort Collins-based watercolor artist, portrays spiritual creatures to explore life, death, humanity, and spirituality. She draws inspiration from Native American religion, psychology, and the intersection of science and nature. While she was raised religious, Hannah's passion for science and the natural world has evolved into an interest in animism and the idea of other-worldly beings coexisting in parallel worlds. Her unique perspective drives her to create art that sparks contemplation and curiosity.
Lucas Archuleta // Hey there I'm some dude who can draw stuff. For the most part, ink illustrations are my go-to. Thus far, I've found comfort in a colorless world, focusing heavily on the detail and line work. I’m pretty driven by my emotions when creating a piece most of the time, but I also draw inspiration from stuff that I just think is neat. I hope you’ll give my weird little drawings a gander.
Cloverleaf Clay Co // My name is Mollie and when I am not teaching third grade, I find myself making earrings out of clay! And I have had a wonderful journey this last year stepping into my creative side and taking on this new adventure.
Presley Paints // Hi! My name is Bethany Presley. I am a 24 year old preschool teacher whose dream has always been to be a self employed working artist. I just recently started purposefully pursuing that goal. I have a Bachelors in Art and Design with an emphasis in drawing and a certificate of Arts Entrepreneurship. I live with my partner and two big doggies. My art has always been fantastical, with a mixture of portraits and landscapes, although I have dabbled in all kinds of mediums and concepts (murals, live wedding paintings, rehab recovery columns.) Only recently have I branched off into more scientific illustrations because I love to learn. Bugs and plants are so fascinating to me.
Autumn Lancaster // Autumn is a visual artist whose abstract designs feature the dance between chaos and order. Whether through colorful mixed media drawings, acrylic paintings, photographs or digital design, her art will add a one-of-a-kind POP to your space.
Cosmic Macchiato // I'm George, the artist behind Cosmic Macchiato, and my passion is story telling through design. My work is varied, it can cute or unsettling, thought provoking or eye candy, and sometimes it can fall in the in between. Every detail is places meticulously and with a purpose, no matter how simple or small. My goal is to make my audience feel something, and tell them a story through my art.
DasheadD333 Dane Doyle // I am a creator who cares deeply for our enviornment. My art is heavily inspired by all life living on this planet and that is a big reason why I do my best to upcycle and use whatever materials I have available.
Sam (she/her) of Mountain Time Woodworking is a local Fort Collins artist that is inspired by the natural world. She has a passion for creating unique pieces that celebrate organic beauty and elegance. Each piece tells a story with harmonizing grains, colors, and textures. Committed to sustainable practices. 1 tree planted per item sold.
Ish Heredia // I’m Ish Heredia, a Fort Collins based, indigenous artist primarily drawing and painting animals digitally. I will do this til the day I die. Which hopefully isn't around the corner.
Abstruse Apparel // Retired wood shop teacher from New York and California, I now run Abstruse Apparel in Fort Collins creating digital art messaging and upcycling used clothing. Join my Collaborative Message Challenge every First Friday! Submit a creative message to see turned into apparel or digital art. Selected designs will be on display and the winner can pick up the item for FREE! Visit Funktional: A Space For Radical Reuse on 1228 W. Elizabeth Street to see my work. Let's change the world together, one stitch at a time!
I fully believe that art is meant to be shared so I started DanaPaintsCo to make it easier to share my work beyond just my immediate circle. So I'm very excited to be part of the local art community here in Fort Collins! I typically work with acrylic paint but will occasionally pick up chalk pastels, charcoal, or another kind of paint and see what happens.
Paula Harrison // Intentional experimentation is an important part of my process. Experimenting with materials and techniques allows an artist to uncover a path to their original intention. The beauty is that you can discover many things along the way to your goal. This remains a big part of what I do in my own work; it’s often a meander not a straight line. For me, painting is also a spiritual practice. I learned along the way that images are a means to access experiences of awareness and consciousness that can only be accessed non-verbally. Creating images that are open-ended enough to allow dialogue, to allow personal meaning to develop, is a great joy. I taught art for twenty years in the public school. If you are interested in investigating how making art can open up your world, contact me.
Kate Fredrickson with Tempest Studio // After a lengthy and beloved career as a stay-at-home mom, Kate has started to delve into hobbies and passions that she'd left on the back burner. One of those passions is creating. Working mainly with acrylics, Kate enjoys painting stormy, perhaps untidy, landscapes in a sketchy, haphazard impressionist style. She enjoys painting Christmas ornaments with native plants and wildlife. Kate has also found a place for some of her snarky attitude in making bracelets and ornaments that reflect a more adult sense of humor. Kate, her husband, Brandon, and their five children have lived in many places including California, South Dakota, Texas, and Chile. They're happy to be back where both Kate and Brandon grew up, Fort Collins, Colorado.
Lizzy Sarnes Art // I'm new to Colorado and I am a graphic designer as well as a sculptural ceramic and 2D artist. I have been drawing and creating sculptures even before I could read and I don't intend to ever stop. My body of work is split evenly between darkly morbid and vibrantly absurd. I love to fill my world with memento mori while I embrace the beauty and humor of life.
Morgan's Art and Creations // My love for art began at a young age, starting with cartoons and anime styles. In high school, I eagerly explored various art classes, embracing drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, and photography. Now working as a painting instructor at Pinot's Palette, my personal art emphasizes self-love and finding beauty in unexpected places, even in life's darkest or simplest forms. I've cultivated a passion for painting space and galaxies, inviting everyone to enjoy skyward escapes occasionally. Thank you for appreciating a different perspective, and for taking the time to see the world through my eyes. Remember to never stop dreaming and to cherish the beauty that surrounds us.
Wild Earth Lab // As an illustrator and trained environmental scientist, Valerie is a bit obsessed with trying to present the complexity of the natural world in a coherent and beautiful way. By incorporating her artwork into scientific diagrams and educational materials, Valerie seeks to share a view of nature through the eyes of a scientist.
Hypnagogist // Hypnagogist is multimedia visionary artist hailing from Columbus, Ohio, specializing in 3D animation, traditional painting, art installations, and mixed media fusions of the aforementioned works. Hypnagogia is the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep, and Hypnagogist's work reflects that with colorful and surreal imagery, pulling from conscious and unconscious states.
Hannah Brook // Hey, I’m Hannah. I have loved art for as long as I can remember and have experimented with many different mediums. I’m currently pursuing a career as a tattooer. I have enjoyed making pendants out of my extensive crystal collection, making wood burning art pieces, and painting with watercolor and acrylics. Fantasy, sci-fi and nature are a constant inspiration for creating a little world of my own with my art.
Ryan Stover // Ryan's vivid watercolors and complex ink drawings celebrate the beauty of nature and the paradox of human experience. Ry's work is overflowing with energy and colors that are wild and free – yet bound and balanced by bold black lines. His work is a visual meditation on holding on and letting go: Going with the flow... while being aware of doing so.
November 2023 Featured Artist Xavier Pereira // Xavier’s works can be characterized by punchy dabs of paint; they are motivated by personal observations and sentimental experiences shared with others- utilizing concepts that expand upon sensory impressions. Using his art as a form of meditation, he finds peace in letting the world fade away while narrowing focus on the minute details throughout the canvas. Also a mechanical engineer, he lets his experience in creative problem solving take shape in his art. This has allowed for a unique perspective across disciplines, culminating in an intuitive approach that is calculated, yet venturous.
Cameron Kinchen Design // Hello there fellow weirdo! My name is Cameron but my friends call me Cam. I’m a multidisciplinary artist passionate about graphic design, screen-printing, illustrating, animating…TLDR most things art related. I love taking on fun new projects where I can combine dispensaries and learn a cool new trick or two along the way. Currently creating weirdness out of Berthoud, Colorado.
EmilysDivine // Hello! My name is Emily and I have a small jewelry business called EmilysDivine. I handcraft each piece of beaded and wire wrapped jewelry made on my sites. I love adding a purpose into my art so I decided to incorporate crystals into my work! I hope you enjoy my lovely art, have an amazing day.
MTN Goddess Ceramics is a small, women owned Pottery business created by Madi Nigro. All ceramics in the shop have been hand thrown, carved and glazed by Madi. Growing up in Colorado near the Rocky Mountains, Madi has fond memories of rock climbing, hiking, and exploring nature. Focusing on ceramics that spark joy, self confidence and inner love, each product is handcrafted with care, making no two pieces the same.
JCHops // Riding the wave of rediscovering creativity through the physicality of glass work, pigments in paint, and diversity of digital art. Mostly self taught been expanding my skills with the help of friends here in town and as far away as Singapore. I enjoy colors, lines, illustrating and most of all seeing other people have happiness from something I’ve created!
