Dive into the world of Lino Block Printmaking and unleash your creativity in this hands-on workshop led by Liz Ortiz of Mad Hare Press! This unique workshop allows you to design and print your own patch and choose between a T-shirt, journal, or canvas tote to customize with your hand-carved design.

Workshop Overview:
Introduction to Lino Block Printmaking: Learn about techniques of Lino block printmaking.
Tools and Materials: Get hands-on experience with essential tools and materials, including Lino blocks, carving tools, and inks.
Design and Carve: Create your own unique design and carve it into a Lino block.
Printing Techniques: Discover the process of inking and printing your design onto fabric patches.
Customize Your Item: Choose between a T-shirt, journal, or canvas tote to print your design on. Selection must be made upon ticket purchase.
Workshop Highlights:
Each participant will receive a 3x4” Lino block
Access to carving tools, and inks.
All necessary tools and materials will be provided.
Aprons will be available, however, due to the nature of the printing process it is possible that ink may be transferred to clothing.
Each participant will print a fabric patch and their choice of a T-shirt, journal, or canvas tote.
No prior art or printmaking experience is necessary.
What to Bring:
Imagery to use for reference or an image prepared to print (block size will be 3x4”)

Liz Ortiz of Mad Hare Press is a Fort Collins-based multidisciplinary artist specializing in various printmaking techniques. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photo Image Making and Printmaking, Liz brings extensive knowledge and a passion for making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Minimum Age Requirement: Suggested minimum age is 15 years. Sharp carving tools will be used during this workshop and to prevent any injury it is recommended there be a confident level of hand coordination for any minor.
Minors 15-17 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign liability waiver(s) for any minor and must be present for the entirety of the workshop.
